SCFENF: Sparse Counterfactual Explanation with Normalizing Flows
Extended the Simple Counterfactual Explanation framework to high-dimensional settings by (1) replacing the density estimator with normalizing flows to better capture data manifolds, and (2) developing PANMG, a novel optimizer for the resulting non-convex, non-smooth formulation with ℓp-regularization (0 < p ≤ 1).
Proved convergence of the optimization algorithm under standard assumptions; achieved improved stability and sparsity in counterfactual generation.

Human-AI Interaction and Engagement Analysis
Investigated how AI embodiment (digital human vs. static avatar) and user characteristics (AI proficiency, gender, entrepreneurial background) influence engagement in voice-based human-AI interaction.
Designed and analyzed experiments using behavioral metrics, survey data, and electrodermal activity (EDA); found that visual embodiment alone did not significantly enhance engagement.
